Alaskan Home Away From Home!
I had the good fortune of spending 10 days at Sunset Bluff and have one word to describe the experience. Perfect! The house was spotlessly clean, totally comfortable and very cozy. It faces the Cook Inlet and the mountains beyond so the view is nothing short of spectacular. I’ve seen amazing sunsets in the South Seas, but I’ve never seen anything like the sunsets I witnessed from the front porch of Sunset Bluff. The location is perfect as well. Ninilchik is a lovely little town (with one of best Thai restaurants I’ve ever eaten in) and a short drive to all the amazing activities in Homer and Soldotna. When I consider all the wonderful day trips my host Bill planned for me, I could say that my stay at Sunset Bluff was a once in a lifetime vacation, except I can’t wait to go back!

Perfect Cabin With All The Amenities
The location is awesome! Private, quiet and serene. We thought about cancelling our day trips and spending the week just hanging out on the porch…but we didn’t. The Kenai Peninsula is outdoor vacation nirvana – we fished for Halibut on the Ocean and Salmon on the rivers. We spent a day horseback riding through the hills outside Homer (can you say saddle-sore) and spotted whales as we Sea Kayaked through the islands off the coast. There really was too much to do – we have a great excuse to return. The house is immaculate, very well stocked and nicely furnished. We expected rustic and were delighted to find a home that could have been in California’s Napa Valley. Thanks Bill for a great stay! We will be back again.

Amazing View With At Great Home!
God’s View is a great place to stay, not just because warm, clean and comfortable space inside, but more so for what is on the outside. It is well situated between Soldotna and Homer for all your Alaskan adventures. Yet, the view is something you will want to see again and again. First time I sat on this bluff overlooking the amazing Cook Inlet and dreamed that some how, there would be away to make this view something that I would always remember when I thought of the land known as Alaska. My dream came true, thanks to dear friend that was sitting with me on the bluff that day who had the home at God’s View built. The warmth of the immaculate home will meet all you physical needs, but the view will forever be a part of you, as choice memories are awaken in your mind and find place in your heart. It will make a memory that your will cherish.

Beautiful Property, Amazing Stay
Stayed at this property for two nights during Salmonfest and had a truly wonderful experience! The view alone is worth the stay, enjoyed our breakfasts on the patio overlooking the view of cook inlet and a backdrop of gorgeous mountains. The house was very clean and we’ll managed, Bill made everything very easy for us. Overall I would say that our stay here was as good as it gets!

Beautiful Wilderness Retreat
This is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for a quiet spot that is still close to all of the activities and wonders that the Kenai Peninsula has to offer. It’s situated on a bluff with an amazing unobstructed view of the mountain range over the water. The cabin is a short drive into Homer for any adventure activities that you’d want do and not far from all the glaciers and fishing you can dream of. Bill knows everyone in town and has great tips on fun activities around the area so make sure to ask if you need help deciding on what to do during your stay!

The house is tucked away off the main road, and there’s tons of wildlife to see around the property. The house itself is perfectly clean and comfortable for a family to stay. There’s a sizeable living room and kitchen with all the amenities you’d need. There’s even a lovely porch to sit and have a glass of wine that looks out over the bluff.
Best spot to stay on your trip, would highly recommend, and I can’t wait to go back.

We Felt Pampered
Cassie and Michael are awesome caretakers. They both were so helpful and attentive during our stay, and they were always willing to answer our questions. Thank you for making us feel at home.

Perfect Log Home With Beautiful View Across Cook Intel
Wonderful log home with beautiful view of Mt Iliamna and Mt Redoubt across Cook Inlet. Nearby salt water and stream fishing, Homer and Kachemak Bay, the Harding Ice fields, and Mitch Peavey’s Iditarod dog teams. A cow and calf moose in a nearby pasture every day. My wife and I took two of our grandchildren and they described the trip as the best ever. I agree.

Wow! Trip of a Lifetime
My husband and I stayed at Happy Valley Haven for a week during our dream vacation to Alaska’s Kenia Peninsula. I worked for months with Mary to make sure we had the experience of a lifetime and it all started with Happy Valley Haven. This cabin is located close to the main road, yet is secluded in a beautiful meadow where mother moose & their babies graze. The cabin is fully equipped with absolutely anything and everything you could absolutely want or need for your home away from home stay. Comfortable and clean! We went to the grocery store prior to checking in, and actually spent the remainder of our arrival day preparing all our food for the week. Everything we needed to cook up good home cooked meals was furnished. Mary also made sure we had outstanding activities planned for our week – activities that took in so much of all Alaska has to offer. Our trip truly could be considered all-inclusive. Mary took care of EVERYTHING. We even had surprise visitors the last night we were there – two young black bear playing in the meadow. We will be making a return visit. You cannot go wrong with Happy Valley Haven & Ms. Mary Clock!
